For starters, what is “Something Takes Place”?

Something Takes Place exists in two forms:

  1. An online forum and environment which encourages creative expression in all forms (audio, graphics, video & writing), and provides artists and performers a free venue to promote their artwork for personal or commercial purposes. Artists are asked to join the creative network and post their work, view others work, leave feedback or comments, make friends, or simply become inspired. somethingtakesplace.com
  2. A physical show, the second Thursday of every month, at the Holland Park Theatre (www.hollandparktheater.com) in downtown Holland, which will consist of two different elements: live art and gallery art. The show will be similar to an artist variety show. Artists of all kinds will be performing or displaying their work in a mixed gallery setting. The show will be from 7:30 PM – 12: 30 AM. The cover is free for participants and $2 to the general public. There will be drinks for purchase (and alcohol for those over 21) and many varied types of entertainment throughout the night.
